I find it interesting that he makes reference to the fact that Southport invited him for another meeting in 1978. Unfortunately he died just three months later of a sudden heart attack in 1975.

Faith and Facts Press used to sell these cassette tapes.  There were many sermons they would sell to preachers and those who needed to hear a good lesson from a reputable preacher from time to time. David Padfield brings us this lesson on, "Walk Humbly With God."  There were several problems with the copy I had and I have repaired them to the best of my ability. From what I can tell this was preached sometime in 1981.  I hope you will enjoy.

From time to time when the preacher was away The HSR Church would have some of it's members give the sermon.  The late Dick Green, who was a long standing member of the High School Rd. Church of Christ, gave us, and now you, this sermon.  I hope you will enjoy.

This is a true gem.  I can't tell you how fortunate I was to get this accomplished.  I didn't even realize what I had until after I received it.  This was originally on a reel tape.  I didn't even have a working reel to reel player to play it and had to have this professionally rerecorded.  It is mind blowing to have this piece of Church history.
This sermon was preached by Robert Welch sometime in 1954 at the Wendell Ave. Church of Christ in Louisville, KY.  To date this is the oldest sermon I have put on Word and Works.  But not only that, this is the first sermon ever preached at the Wendell Ave. Building, which at that time was not even completed.  It is remarkable that I have this sermon, and am more than happy to share it with the world at this time.

A sermon preached at the High School Road Church of Christ By Jimmy Tuten.  I do not know the date at this time.  (I did have to remove quite a bit of noise from the tape and also it was very distorted.) Enjoy.
