In “Human Forgiveness,” David Padfield examines the Christian responsibility to forgive, using Luke 17:1–10 as the primary text. He describes three important parts of man's character—giving, thanksgiving, and forgiving—and focuses this lesson on the need for forgiveness.
The sermon develops three central points: all will sin, man should be willing to forgive, and forgiveness is a command given by God. Drawing from Luke 17 along with 1 John 1:5, 1 Timothy 5:22, and Matthew 18:15, Padfield considers how Christians should respond to sin and offenses in their relationships with others.
A practical Bible lesson on sin, forgiveness, Christian responsibility, and obeying God's command to forgive.

Each lectureship had an Open forum.  These were fun parts of the lectureship where anyone could ask a Biblical question and the men in the audience who were usually preachers who had a topic there sometime during the week were there to give an answer.  Lots to be gleaned here and I hope you will listen carefully.  This was recorded on July 14th, 1983.  Hiram Hutto, Gene Frost, Wayne Greeson and others can be heard on this recording.

Faith and Facts Press used to sell these cassette tapes.  There were many sermons they would sell to preachers and those who needed to hear a good lesson from a reputable preacher from time to time. David Padfield brings us this lesson on, "Walk Humbly With God."  There were several problems with the copy I had and I have repaired them to the best of my ability. From what I can tell this was preached sometime in 1981.  I hope you will enjoy.

From time to time when the preacher was away The HSR Church would have some of it's members give the sermon.  The late Dick Green, who was a long standing member of the High School Rd. Church of Christ, gave us, and now you, this sermon.  I hope you will enjoy.

This is a true gem.  I can't tell you how fortunate I was to get this accomplished.  I didn't even realize what I had until after I received it.  This was originally on a reel tape.  I didn't even have a working reel to reel player to play it and had to have this professionally rerecorded.  It is mind blowing to have this piece of Church history.
This sermon was preached by Robert Welch sometime in 1954 at the Wendell Ave. Church of Christ in Louisville, KY.  To date this is the oldest sermon I have put on Word and Works.  But not only that, this is the first sermon ever preached at the Wendell Ave. Building, which at that time was not even completed.  It is remarkable that I have this sermon, and am more than happy to share it with the world at this time.
